Variable Capital Companies: a soon-to-be reality for the Mauritius IFC

The introduction of the Variable Capital Companies (VCC) in Mauritius formed part of the set of measures announced in the Budget
Speech 2020–2021 in line with the recommendations of the 10-Year Blueprint for the Sector.
On 16 April 2021, Cabinet has agreed to proceed with the drafting of the VCC Bill which will take into account the requirements of
the relevant Anti-Money Laundering/Combatting the Financing of Terrorism legislation and framework.
