ITL was the first company in Mauritius to successfully complete an ISAE 3402 Type II audit by PwC in 2010. Since then, our internal controls and processes are audited on an annual basis by PWC and we have consistently been issued with a clean report.
The ISAE 3402 standard, issued by the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board ("IAASB") is a step-up from the SAS70 standard (PwC issued the ITL Group with a SAS70 Type II certification in 2010). The ISAE 3402 is the new globally accepted framework, which creates a more unified and transparent reporting tool, allowing user entities and all intended parties to have greater confidence in reports received on service organizations. The standard is vital for services companies to provide their customers with a reliable statement on the management of controls on the outsourced processes of the customers.
The ISAE 3402 certification benefits both ITL Group and its clients.
For ITL, the ISAE 3402 Type II certification not only ensures the continuous upholding of effective processes and high service levels, but also that these will improve through continual self-assessment and adjustment. The certification provides a platform on which ITL can set up, document, test and validate controls and processes. Furthermore, the annual evaluation and testing of controls, provides for opportunities to analyze and improve on processes.
For clients, the ISAE 3402 Type II certification provides peace of mind that the internal processes of ITL are of an internationally accepted standard, which in turn means that clients will benefit from high standards of service.
The audit report may be shared with our clients who in turn, can forward the report to their own auditors. This will greatly assist our clients’ auditors to plan their respective audit.
