The Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) released by Berlin-based Transparency International, is a measure of the perception of
corruption in the public sector. It is the most widely used indicator of corruption worldwide, and compiles data originating from
twelve independent institutions specialising in governance and business climate analysis. This process ensures that the indicator is
comprehensive and accurate.
With a score of 66, Seychelles ranks 27 th out of 180 countries globally, and remains the least corrupt country in the Sub-Saharan
region, as perceived by experts and business executives. Seychelles has remained stagnant for three consecutive years, despite Covid-19
limitations.
