The Bank of Mauritius’ (BoM) request to integrate the Groupe des Superviseurs Bancaire Francophones (GSBF) was approved in September 2020. The GSBF is managed by the General Secretariat of the Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution under the aegis of the Banque de France. It regroups banking supervisors both from Basel Committee member and non-member jurisdictions with the prime objective of encouraging interaction between the Basel Committee and non-member French-speaking supervisors. As of now, the GSBF comprises of 34 member jurisdictions across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
